Parker’s Heritage Collection 1981 – 27 Years Old Bourbon Whiskey is a limited edition release by Heaven Hill Distillery. It was distilled in 1981 and aged for 27 years before being bottled at 96 proof (48% alcohol by volume).
This Parker’s Heritage Collection 1981 bourbon is named after Parker Beam, who was the Master Distiller at Heaven Hill from 1975 to 2013. He personally selected the barrels of 1981 bourbon that were used for this release.
The nose of this whisky is rich and complex with notes of caramel, oak, vanilla, and dried fruits. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with flavors of dark chocolate, toffee, maple syrup, and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and warming, with a gentle spiciness and a touch of sweetness.

Parker’s Heritage Collection 27 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon
The Parker’s Heritage Collection from Heaven Hill is always highly anticipated and this was the second edition. Named after Parker Beam, member of the Beam family dynasty and master distiller at heaven hill for over 45 years.
The barrels for this 27 year old were hand selected by Parker himself, from the lower floors of one of his favourite rickhouses, where they had been aging since 1981. This means the whiskey was distilled at the old Heaven Hill distillery, a few years before it was devastated by a fire in 1996.
