This featured bottling of The Macallan Decanter Series Reflexion Single Malt Scotch is sublimely crafted whisky created by master whisky maker Bog Dalgarno as part of The Macallan’s 1824 Series. Composed of select whiskies aged exclusively in first-fill, sherry-seasoned American and Spanish petite hogshead oak casks – this luxurious Scotch was produced in a limited quantity of an estimated 1000 bottles. Finished to 43% ABV, Macallan Reflexion is aged for a minimum of 3 years and is comprised of a 100% malted barley mash bill. Highly esteemed and collectible, this vibrant Speyside malt opens with aromatic notes of spiced raisins and citrus paired with a palate of virgin oak, orchard lemons, and crushed oranges.

Producer tasting notes: “COLOUR: Blood orange. NOSE: Fresh zest of orange and citrus fruits. A slight waxy note fades to fresh green apples. Robust notes of chocolate, thick fudge, boiled sweets, aniseed and caramel toffees with subtle white chocolate truffles. Fresh bananas and sweet oak arrives last. PALATE: Initial light citrus zest with new oak gives way to the succulent sweetness of lemon and orange. Raisin, sultana and apple, with a hint of cinnamon and ginger, are subtle. FINISH: Boiled sweets add balance to a glimpse of toasted oak to give a medium and soft finish.” – The Macallan
