Straight Bourbon hearty whiskey ages in new charred oak barrels for no less than 15 years.  Straight out of the barrel, uncut and unfiltered, the taste is powerful, flavorful and intense. Open it up with a few drops of water, sit back and ponder the wonders of the universe. This bourbon was distilled in the spring of 2007 and aged in Warehouse K for 15 years and 5 months prior to bottling.

Nose: The nose invites you in with caramel-stuffed chocolates, vanilla extract and sour cherries.

Palate: The palate is rich and luscious, a slow-moving, sticky river of caramel, leading to peanut shells and coffee grounds.

Finish: A sumptuous and lipsmacking, lengthy finish mixes indulgent milk chocolate with baking spices and oak, and is worth simply closing your eyes and savoring. George T. Stagg Straight Bourbon

Heat, cinnamon, pepper, burnt caramel and toasted almonds. Though it’s hot, it’s quite tame for 65%. I do like water, though. Slightly bitter and woody aft-palate and finish. Rich, with depth but also youthful fire. Like a combo of young and old. A good higher proof bourbon. 88/100
